MY PROPANE

“There are enough bands that you can play without problems in the company of your parents in law, but acts that you go see with a little healthy nervous feeling are very few[...] The potential to bring the old edge back in contemporary rock is surely there” – ongekend talent/cutting edge

An Italian frontman fron the UK, a South American guitar player from India, a crazed dutch bass player and a half-german drummer. Mixing blood & backgrounds. A project born in London and moved to the Lowlands. I don’t know what genre it is, we flirt with a lot of influences. Rock as a state of mind, more than anything else, and unsafety, energy, entertainment, visuals, aggression and unpredictability.

Between 2010 and 2011 My Propane plays Eurosonic/Noorderslag, 3FM, Bevrijdingsfestival Zwolle & other festival, major venues & radio stations in the Netherlands.

In December 2011 they produce and publish the video “Switching the lights off” directed by Italian artist Jacopo Addini (eddiespanier.org). A very weird trip filmed in 3 days of random madness in an abandoned hotel/youth asylum in the east og the land, using solely obsolete VHS recorders, used tapes, absurdly short-living batteries and No Plan B. The video is censured by youtube after 3 days.

This year the band is busy recording their debut LP in collaboration with producer/keyboard wiz Joost van den Broek (After Forever, Stream of Passion, Revamp, Ayreon, Ellen Ten Damme).

De Grote Prijs is afgelopen.
